Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Bachelor's degree with significant, at least 10 years of professional experience in computer science, programming, cybersecurity, information technology, or closely related areas
• Combination of education, industry experience, certifications, and demonstrated teaching/training ability

Responsibilities

• Prepare, modify, and deliver course content per approved outlines and learning outcomes
• Provide challenging instruction that supports student learning, persistence, and success
• Teach assigned courses in accordance with college expectations and schedules
• Use inclusive, student-centered teaching practices for a diverse student population
• Assess student learning using appropriate methods and provide timely feedback
• Maintain accurate student records and submit grades on time
• Use WVC instructional technology, including Canvas or similar systems
• Communicate regularly with students and be available for consultation
• Refer students to appropriate college support services as needed
• Collaborate with program faculty and administration to support course quality and student success
• Stay current with emerging practices, tools, and trends in CS and IT education
