Job summary

Liberty FCU is seeking a Commercial Loan Processor to support the commercial lending team with end-to-end loan processing, documentation, and regulatory compliance. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work with clients and vendors to ensure timely closings.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of lending policies, loan systems, and Microsoft Office, with the ability to analyze complex files and deliver accurate loan packages.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
• In-depth knowledge of credit union's policies and procedures, lending procedures and credit policies.
• In-depth understanding of computer loan system.
• Proven computer skills.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of credit union history, philosophy, organization, bylaws, and operational procedures.
• Knowledge of federal lending regulations.
• Ability to analyze policies, procedures and guidelines while managing risk.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and build relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer.

Responsibilities

• Process all loans as assigned, including complex files.
• Clear conditions and issue changes to loan terms on approved loans.
• Verify approval conditions, including income/assets documentation and title issues.
• Analyze loan policy and apply to requests.
• Ensure accurate, complete loan data in the processing system.
• Obtain credit reports, flood determinations, title examinations, and appraisal information.
• Communicate with attorneys in document preparation.
• Review documents for accuracy prior to loan closing.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (Reg B, HMDA, Flood Certifications).
• Ensure proper signatures, dates, disclosures, and data.
• Work with department to provide exceptional service to clients.
• Book loans correctly and route collateral appropriately.
• Research and resolve client problems promptly.
• Serve as backup to other documentation specialists.
