Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide clinical and administrative support in our physician services. The CMA will take histories, record vital signs, and assist physicians during exams and procedures.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, proficiency in medical terminology, and solid knowledge of electronic health records. A current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days is required.

Qualifications

• Active CMA certification or registry required.
• BLS certification current or within 30 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examination.
• Assist physicians during exams and procedures.
• Collect and process laboratory specimens.
• Administer medications as directed.
• Perform basic laboratory tests.
