Qualifications

• Education and Experience: Successful completion of all student teaching requirements and coursework to obtain the appropriate teaching certificate(s).
• Licensing: Illinois license options include Professional Educator License (PEL) or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS).
• Knowledge, Abilities, and Skill: Knowledge of subject matter, teaching methods, and classroom management; ability to engage pupils and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan instructional lessons and prepare daily instruction aligned with objectives.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and pupil progress.
• Apply diverse teaching techniques and materials reflecting curriculum content.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about progress, attendance and conduct.
• Participate in in-service meetings and school activities as needed.
