Job summary

MidPoint Church is seeking a full-time Children’s Pastor to oversee the children’s ministry from nursery through 5th grade and partner with parents to disciple the next generation. The role emphasizes building a safe, engaging environment, recruiting volunteers, planning weekly services, and developing Bible-centered curriculum.

Candidates should demonstrate a genuine relationship with Jesus, a clear calling to youth ministry, and experience leading teams while maintaining child-safety

Qualifications

• Genuine relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear calling to children’s ministry.
• Experience with children and leading volunteers.
• Commitment to child safety and church policies.
• Ability to recruit, train, and develop ministry teams.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with Planning Center, Canva, ProPresenter and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead the children's ministry from nursery through 5th grade.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and pastor volunteers and leaders.
• Plan weekly services, lessons, activities, and events.
• Develop age-appropriate Bible curriculum and teaching.
• Coordinate safety procedures, background checks, and records.
• Partner with parents to disciple children at home and in church.
