Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Bartender in Nashville to deliver warm, efficient service in a fast-paced hotel setting. You will greet guests, take orders, mix drinks, and ensure bar operations meet quality standards.

The ideal candidate has bartending experience in high-volume venues, knowledge of recipes, and strict cash handling practices, with strong guest-focused hospitality. This role requires flexibility for shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Bartender required, preferably in a high-volume bar.
• Experience with computerized cash registers preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, welcome, and interact with guests in a warm and friendly manner.
• Take orders, prepare drinks according to recipes and serve all food and beverage requests in the bar.
• Demonstrate complete knowledge of the food and beverage menu.
• Prepare the bar for service by ensuring bar supplies, garnishes, utensils are properly set up in accordance with quality standards.
• Inventory unused liquor and beverages. Ensure that all liquor is properly secured before, during, and at close of shift.
• Adhere to cash handling and credit card policies and procedures. Ensure that all drink orders from servers are accurately rung into the P.O.S. system.
• Clean and reset bartop and tables immediately after guests depart.
• Complete all closing duties and reports as assigned.
• Secure all liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets and storage areas.
• Adhere to established safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Adhere to uniform and grooming standards.
• Perform other duties or projects as requested by management.
