Job summary

State Fare Kitchen & Bar is seeking a bartender to service guests with classic and Texas-inspired cocktails in a fast-paced hospitality group based in Houston. You will verify ages, pair drinks, manage payments, and maintain inventory while delivering exceptional hospitality.

The role requires at least 1 year of fine dining or casual dining experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work flexible hours in a lively environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or casual dining.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs.
• Customer service focus with a solution-oriented mindset.
• Flexibility to work a changing schedule as restaurant needs.
• Food handler's card may be required per local/state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide full bar service including wine, beer, and craft cocktails.
• Assess guests' needs and make informed recommendations.
• Nurture a positive guest experience.
• Check guest identification for age verification.
• Adhere to state regulations for food and beverage service.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately and return correct change.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar workspace.
• Keep daily prep lists up to date.
