Job summary

The Inspired Teaching Demonstration School is seeking an Assistant Teacher in Early Childhood/Elementary to support lead teachers and engage in a variety of classroom duties in a dynamic, inquiry-based setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with literacy and numeracy development, planning with colleagues, and ensuring a nurturing environment for diverse learners while supporting family connections.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of progressive/constructivist education.
• Collaborative approach to planning and instruction.
• Able to support literacy, language, math and social-emotional development.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher in creating an inclusive, stimulating environment.
• Support development across literacy, language, math, science, social studies and SEL.
• Plan collaboratively with instructional team and share resources.
• Supervise students during lunch, play, and field trips.
• Assist with classroom maintenance, supplies, and routines.
