Job summary

ARKANSAS HEARST TELEVISION INC in Rogers, AR is seeking an Anchor/Reporter who can bring energy to the desk and hit the field for big stories. You will enterprise exclusives, report, and complete live shots with credibility and poise.

You will write and edit scripts with viewer interaction, mentor reporters and producers, and work under tight deadlines. Strong live reporting skills are required, and in-person attendance is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of anchor experience required.
• 2+ years of reporting experience required.
• In-person attendance is required.
• Valid driver's license and a clear driving record.
• Ability to work overnight and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver scripted and ad-lib material with professionalism, personality, and purpose.
• Work with and guide reporters and producers in newscast production.
• Plan, gather and assemble stories on day-of news or special project assignments.
• Coordinate with news managers and producers to develop stories with exclusive content.
• Develop a network of sources for tips and exclusive stories.
• Appear on behalf of the station at public events.
• Contribute pictures, video and text updates to mobile platforms.
