Job summary

HOKALI seeks an energetic after-school program facilitator to lead a group of up to 20 students from TK through 8th grade, ensuring safety, guiding activities, and supporting homework with a calm, structured approach.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with groups of children, are fluent in English, and can work every weekday afternoon for the full school year, including completing required trainings before starting.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of hands-on experience independently leading groups of children, maintaining safety and order.
• Fluent in English with ability to engage children across ages.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Available weekday afternoons for the full school year.
• Willing to complete required trainings: Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR, Concussion Awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a group of up to ~20 students TK–8th grade after school.
• Keep every child safe throughout the program.
• Run recreational activities and games.
• Help students with homework.
• Manage behavior using positive reinforcement.
• Handle snack time and outdoor play.
• Keep attendance and incident records.
• Follow HOKALI's lesson plans.
• Work with support from an on-site Site Coordinator.
