Qualifications

Master’s degree in a specific degree for the position or a Master’s with 18 graduate credits in related field.
One-year full-time teaching experience, or the equivalent as an adjunct instructor.
Higher education teaching experience preferred.
Knowledge with pedagogy and teaching experience equating to two years.
Must possess strong organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Teach courses as assigned by designated supervisor.
Prepare appropriate lesson plans for each course in accordance with approved course objectives.
Develop and submit course outlines and syllabi to appropriate supervisor.
Assist with development of measurable course objectives and plans.
Develop a professional relationship with students and staff to encourage communication.
Maintain accurate course records and complete required forms.
Be available for student consultation.
Assist in recruitment of students where appropriate.
Assist in evaluation of curriculum and instructional performance when appropriate.
Represent the college professionally within the community.
Engage in professional development as required for credentialing.
