Job summary

J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College is seeking a part-time adjunct instructor for Biology or Anatomy and Physiology. The successful candidate will teach courses, develop materials, and support a diverse student body in a Virginia community college setting.

Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in Biology or Anatomy and Physiology (or equivalent) and demonstrate effective teaching strategies and technology use in instruction. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Biology or Anatomy and Physiology, or a Master’s degree with eighteen (18) graduate hours in Biology or Anatomy and Physiology.
• College-level teaching experience preferred, including potential experience in high school Biology.
• Ability to employ multiple teaching strategies to create student-centered classrooms and to incorporate technology into instruction.

Responsibilities

• Teach Biology/Anatomy and Physiology courses as a part-time adjunct.
• Develop and update course materials and assessments.
• Engage a diverse student population and promote inclusive learning environments.

Education

Master’s degree in Biology or Anatomy and Physiology or Master’s with 18 graduate hours in Biology or Anatomy and Physiology
