Job summary

Universal Health Services in California seeks a Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation at Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar and Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta. The role supports mobility, safe discharge, and patient education within a multidisciplinary team.

The PT works with acute care, post-surgical and medically complex patients, ensuring documentation accuracy and alignment with quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• One (1) year experience as a physical therapist in an acute care facility preferred.
• Completion of a PT degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current California license or eligible; BLS (CPR) certification.

Responsibilities

• Preparatory Data Gathering: reviews records, obtains physician orders, coordinates with care team.
• Evaluation Skills: conducts patient evaluations across age and disability ranges; sets goals.
• Treatment Skills: develops and implements PT programs; educates patient/family.
• Discharge: communicates progress and discharge planning with care teams.
