Job summary

NEWCare, Inc. in Crivitz, WI is seeking a full-time Activity Director to oversee daily activities for residents in our skilled nursing facility.

You will design and schedule a calendar of activities, including bingo, crafts, religious services, and book clubs, to foster socialization and daily living skills. Responsibilities include planning and implementing activities, integrating residents' interests, supervising volunteers, and coordinating with families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State licensure/registration as Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or activity professional is preferred.
• Two years’ experience in a social or recreational program within the last five years.
• Certification training is highly advantageous.
• Experience as an Activity Director for a similar group is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement individual and group activities.
• Incorporate residents’ interests into activities and discussions.
• Provide opportunities for choices and self-expression.
• Supervise Activity Aide and Volunteers.
• Coordinate special events with families and the community.
