Job summary

The Performance Group is seeking a detail-oriented staff accountant to assist in month-end and year-end close, prepare journal entries, and support audits. You will analyze financial data, maintain account reconciliations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 2+ years of accounting experience, with proficiency in Excel and accounting software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Two or more years of accounting experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and various accounting software.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong motivation, initiative, and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and general ledger entries.
• Problem solve and support accounting staff with customers and suppliers.
• Assist with annual audit and compliance activities.
• Review and analyze financial transactions and account reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner.
• Play a role with integration tasks related to acquisitions and mergers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and procedures.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
