Job summary

Job Corps in Oneonta, NY seeks instructors to teach Math, Reading, and High School Diploma modules. The role requires developing lesson plans, administering tests, and guiding students to academic excellence.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree and NY State Teacher Certification; waivers available for some credentials. A valid NY driver's license is also required. This is a full-time on-site position with a 7:30am–4:30pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and NY State Teacher Certification required.
• Waivers available for applicants with other state credentials in process of certification.
• Valid New York State Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare lesson plans; administer and correct tests.
• Identify, select, and modify instructional resources for diverse learners.
• Recommend curriculum changes and supplemental materials.
• Motivate and counsel students on behavior, study habits, and personal issues.
• Coordinate with Independent Living Advisor, Counselors and staff to resolve training issues.
• Record daily attendance and maintain student folders.
