Job summary

Lexington County School District One Pelion Middle School is seeking a 6th Grade Science Teacher to provide core instruction in English, Math, Science and Social Studies. The role requires a valid South Carolina teaching license and a commitment to professional collaboration with staff and families.

The teacher will design engaging lessons, prepare lesson plans, track student progress and communicate effectively with parents and administrators.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related area of discipline with student teaching experience or equivalent experience
Valid SC Teaching License (any applicable area)
Must have current government issued identification

Responsibilities

Instruct students in one or more middle level core subjects such as English, Math, Science and Social Studies
Assists in other school programs as assigned
Designs and facilitates engaging, high level learning experiences and applications
Teaches concepts and skills based on state standards
Evaluates assessments and analyzes data to inform instruction
Meets with parents, administrators and counselors as needed to discuss student performance and goals
Maintains classroom organization and manages daily instructional activities
Uses personal computing devices and software for student records and instructional efficiency
