ACCEL Schools is hiring a 6th-8th Grade Science Teacher for Capital City Sports Academy in Columbus, Ohio. The school serves K–8, focusing on a gym-integrated educational approach and social-emotional development.

The role requires an Ohio teaching license and a bachelor's in education or related field. You will differentiate instruction, maintain student records, and collaborate with families while integrating technology into daily practice.

Formación

• Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
• Experience working within an urban environment.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify accordingly during the school year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Create a positive classroom environment for students to learn in.
• Utilize school-approved curricula reflecting diverse backgrounds.
• Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms.
• Communicate with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
• Incorporate technology skills into daily classroom practice to support learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in planning non-instructional activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
