Job summary

New Ulm Public Schools is seeking a highly energized Activities Director to oversee 5-12 co-curricular programs and support district goals. This role collaborates with coaches, advisers, boosters, and administration to grow programs and manage resources.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in education or related field, plus extensive coaching and AD experience, with a strong focus on organizational skills and community engagement. Start date November 2, 2026, with a 225-day calendar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of successful high school coaching experience.
• Minimum of two years of successful Activities Director experience.
• Experience with youth programs.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and team building skills.

Responsibilities

• Organize and administer all 5-12 co-curricular programs.
• Provide leadership in selection, assignment, development and evaluation of athletic coaches, activity advisors and staff.
• Develop and maintain positive school and community relations through several means of communications and visibility at community events.
• Responsible for the organization and scheduling of all school district activity events.
• Interprets MSHSL rules and school district policy to govern all activities and ensures parents, athletes and staff are aware of these.
• Develops, recommends and administers the activities department budget.
• Responsible for the requisition of supplies, equipment and uniforms for all co-curricular programs.
• Responsible for coordinating officials and judges for all programs.
• Supervise and coordinate events.
• Perform administrative tasks that support the district.
