ACCEL Schools LLC is hiring a highly qualified 3rd Grade Teacher for East Academy in Cleveland, Ohio. We seek passionate educators who can bring the curriculum to life and foster a positive classroom environment that promotes student learning and social-emotional development.

East Academy serves EK-8th grade students in the South Collinwood community and is part of ACCEL Schools, a network of public charter schools across the United States.

Qualifications

• Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Experience working within an urban environment.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to supervise students in different school settings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans and modify them as needed.
• Differentiate instruction to meet all students' needs.
• Maintain records of students’ progress and development.
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
• Incorporate technology to support learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate with families.
