Job summary

Skyline Elementary School in Mead, WA is seeking a 3rd Grade Leave Replacement teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities include planning, delivering instruction, and assessing student progress to meet district objectives.

The educator will implement curriculum guides, use data to drive instruction, and collaborate with the grade-level team to support student achievement and well-being. This is a 1.0 FTE leave replacement position with a competitive salary range.

Qualifications

• Washington State teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement/s as required by law and regulation, or ability to obtain said Washington State teaching certificate.
• Must be a No Child Left Behind highly qualified teacher in subject.
• Demonstrates ability to challenge students academically and promote highest level of learning.
• Demonstrates knowledge of state standards and assessment practices.
• Demonstrates ability to collaborate with a grade-level team and communicate student progress clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective lesson plans and instructional materials that engage students and promote higher level thinking.
• Provide for large and small group and individualized instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Observe and evaluate student performance and provide feedback through grading and assessments.
• Maintain accurate records of students' progress and development; ensure compliance with laws and district policies.
• Create a safe, positive learning environment that supports student growth and well-being.
• Manage student behavior by applying consistent classroom procedures and school policies.
• Collaborate with the grade-level team to evaluate and improve student learning.
