AmeriSchools Academy in Tucson seeks a dynamic 2nd grade Teacher to join our campus team. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and collaborate with families and staff to support growth.

The role emphasizes differentiated instruction, data-driven practice, and a commitment to student well-being and safety. Applicants should have a teaching degree and experience with primary grades; Arizona IVP clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of instructional methods appropriate for students at the respective grade level.
• Desire and ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds toward educational goals.
• Ability to organize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines; manage groups; communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Working familiarity with assistive technologies; internet and email systems, word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software.
• Familiarity with computers (PC and Apple) and their use in instruction to enhance student learning.
• Working knowledge of office and video equipment.
• Knowledge of educational software.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in education or related field.
• Recent teaching experience or coursework in primary instruction.
• Demonstrated knowledge of current instructional strategies for the specified grade.
