ACCEL Schools is seeking a highly qualified 2nd Grade Teacher for Northwest School of the Arts in Cleveland, Ohio. You will deliver engaging instruction that supports student learning and social-emotional development within a vibrant, arts-focused program.

We value teachers who differentiate instruction, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with families and colleagues. Ohio teaching licensure and a BA in education are required; urban-school experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Experience in an urban school environment.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans with flexibility for the school year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ progress.
• Collaborate with families and colleagues on student growth.
• Incorporate technology into daily instruction.
• Adapt to non-instructional planning and activities as needed.
