Job summary

Valdese Weavers, an ESOP-owned textile producer in the United States, is seeking a Dye Machine Operator assistant to stage yarn and move it through the dyeing process. You will load dye machines, extract yarn, and move carriers to dryers and conditioning areas while maintaining 5S housekeeping.

The role requires good communication, reading/writing, math skills, and physical fitness for heavy lifting. Forklift certification is required; overtime is scheduled as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with others.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.
• Good physical condition; heavy lifting required.
• Forklift/tow motor certification.
• Meet all pre-employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Stage yarn for dyeing and load onto spindles.
• Load/unload dye machines and extract yarn.
• Move carriers to the conditioning room and port dryers.
• Maintain 5S standards and housekeeping on the floor.
• Overtime as scheduled and perform other duties as assigned.
