Job summary

  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Job Summary

Perform job duties in three Dye processes: heat set, winding and dryers. Operate heat set machines to prepare chain and tape items for winding; prepare dye beams for dyeing and drying all verified material. Move material around by hand, in zundos and on carts. Complete and document quality checks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate equipment and machines needed to complete assigned job task
  • Perform and document all required quality checks to ensure customer satisfaction which include proper machine setting, HS shrinkage, correct material connections, TMB beam color inspection and dye migration
  • Evaluate chain and tape quality while processing through visual inspections: folds, bias, mixed items in zundos or on beams/spools, loose sewing thread and oil spots.
  • Report all machine and resource issues through documenting report or use of call-in service
  • Communicate daily with co-workers at shift change
  • Report any process and safety concerns to management
  • Identify and report damaged beams, spools/carts
  • Report all loss and identify nonconforming material according to work instruction
  • Performing any other duties assigned by management
Qualifications and Requirements
  • H igh School Diploma/GED (minimum)
  • Must know how to use handtools like wrenches, air guns, scissors, measuring devices and staples documenting all quality checks, maintaining 5S in assigned areas, reporting all machine/resource issues and follow all safety guidelines.
