Job summary

The Commissioned Dye House Operator at Bollman Hat Company will oversee loading, extraction, drying, and baling of dyed materials in a fast-paced dye house environment. You will ensure accurate weights, monitor equipment performance, and uphold safety and quality standards throughout the process.

You will work with a team to meet production schedules, perform basic maintenance, manage inventory, and document procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to collaborate with others and maintain accurate written documentation.
• Capable of verbalizing details of operations and procedures.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Load raw materials into dye tubs following recipes and schedules.
• Operate extraction equipment to remove excess dye and water.
• Transfer materials to drying machines and monitor cycles.
• Prepare and operate baling equipment for packaging finished products.
• Track inventory and assist in maintaining accurate levels.
• Inspect materials for quality and adherence to specifications.
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
• Follow safety guidelines and use PPE; report hazards.
• Collaborate with team to meet production timelines.
