Job summary

Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Bone Density Technician to perform DXA procedures that measure bone mineral density and support diagnoses such as osteopenia and osteoporosis. You will obtain images and perform preliminary analysis in collaboration with Radiologists.

The role requires on-site training first four weeks, a High School Diploma or GED, at least 1 year in healthcare and customer service, and a BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year in a healthcare setting.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• NCCA certification in Bone Densitometry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DXA bone density procedures.
• Gather medical history, position patient, and explain the procedure.
• Conduct preliminary image analysis and collaborate with Radiologist/Assistants.
• Ensure patient comfort and understanding during procedures.
