Job summary

Tek Tree LLC is seeking a DWDM Data Center Technician capable of hands-on activation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of DWDM equipment in field deployments. You will work with Ciena, Nokia, and Cisco platforms to turn up services and verify performance across backbone and long-haul networks.

The role emphasizes high-level technical execution, independent field work, and occasional leadership of junior technicians, with extensive travel across projects in the United States.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with DWDM systems and optical transport networks.
• Experience with Ciena, Nokia, or Cisco optical platforms is highly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel are required.

We are currently hiring a DWDM Data Center Technician with hands-on experience in optical network activation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. This role is focused on high-level technical execution, not basic fiber installation.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, activation, and commissioning of DWDM equipment
• Work with optical platforms such as Ciena (6500, Waveserver), Nokia (1830), and Cisco
• Execute turn-up procedures and service activation
• Perform testing and troubleshooting using OTDR, power meters, and optical tools

Solid knowledge of:

• Fiber optics
