Lindale Veterinary Clinic is offering an externship for 1st-4th year veterinary students, providing hands-on experience and mentorship. This opportunity is aimed at helping students become 'practice ready' for their future careers in veterinary medicine.

Externships usually last 2 weeks, with the possibility of flexible lengths. Heartland Veterinary Partners will cover lodging costs if needed. Ideal candidates must be enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School and provide student PLIT.

Practice

Lindale Veterinary Clinicis a well-established, full-service small and large animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. We have been serving our clients’ needs since 1997 at our current location. We join less than 15% of practices in being AAHA accredited!

Our veterinariansand staff have extensive experience in many areas of pet care.We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required.

Our facility includes a well-stockedpharmacy, an in-hospital surgery suite, in-house X-ray capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels with outdoor walking areas.

Position Purpose

Come extern with us!Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program works to provide 1st-4th year veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them 'practice ready' by their first day in practice.

Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed.

Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.
