Practice:

At Lashley Animal Hospital, our veterinarians focus on the study, treatment, and control of pet injuries and diseases, as well as the treatment of both acute and chronic illnesses. We also specialize in immunizations for healthy pets, surgery, nutrition, radiology, dental care, and preventive care for dogs and cats.

Our practice serves Swansea, Belleville, Collinsville, Columbia, East St. Louis, Fairview Heights, Freeburg, O’Fallon, Lebanon, Mascoutah, Scott Air Force Base, Shiloh, and the entire St. Louis Metro East area.

Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program offers 1st-4th year veterinary students hands-on experience and mentorship, preparing them to be 'practice ready' from day one.

Externships typically last 2 weeks, and Heartland will cover lodging costs if needed.

The length of the externship is flexible, and we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.

Requirements/Qualifications:
