Job summary

Bond Vet offers a DVM Student Externship for 3rd- and 4th-year AVMA-accredited students. This program provides hands-on patient work, surgery observation, and interaction with pet parents under experienced veterinarians in a fast-paced clinic environment.

You will participate in exams, procedures, and treatments, gaining real-world experience across primary and urgent care. Externships run two to three weeks with school-driven scheduling and regional hours; no overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of AVMA-accredited DVM program.
• Open mind, willingness to learn, and a collaborative spirit.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Provide proof of medical insurance, rabies vaccine/titer, tetanus vaccine, and a recent TB test prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Interact with pet parents and observe treatment plans.
• Assist with procedures and surgeries under supervision.
• Perform physical exams and help with lab tests.
