Position Purpose

Come extern with us! Our externship program offers 1st-4th year veterinary students hands-on experience and mentorship to help prepare them for practice. The externship typically lasts 2 weeks, and Heartland Veterinary Partners will cover lodging costs if needed. The length of the externship is flexible, and we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.

• Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
• Must be able to provide student PLIT
