Job summary

Animal Emergency Clinic of Springfield is seeking veterinary students (1st–4th year) for externship opportunities. The program offers paid externship hours, 1:1 mentorship, and paths toward future ownership opportunities through a Partner Track.

We value compassion, teamwork, and strong communication as essential traits for our externs who will gain real-world experience in emergency care under guidance from DVM mentors.

The Animal Emergency Clinic of Springfield provides emergency and critical care services when they are needed most. Our clinic is proudly supported by the Springfield veterinary community and is operational during hours when most regular veterinary practices are closed.

Our hospital is fully equipped to support rapid diagnostics, critical care, and emergency surgical intervention, giving you the tools you need to practice high-level medicine with confidence.

• X-Ray & Ultrasound
• Fully equipped surgical suite with Cardell monitoring, electrocautery, and cold laser
• IDEXX in-house laboratory (ProCyte, Catalyst Dx, Sedivue, InVue, coagulation analyzer, digital cytology)
