Apartner hospital in San Bernardino, CA is seeking a full-time Medical Director Veterinarian to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and compassionate veterinarian with a passion for providing top-tier care and leading a dedicated team.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Hospital Operations & Financial Management: Oversee daily operations, manage patient care, ensure facility upkeep, and handle fee collections and reporting. Provide leadership in planning, organizing, and coordinating activities, while also reviewing financial statements, developing marketing strategies, and working to increase revenue.
  • Leadership & Strategic Planning: Lead the team effectively, setting clear objectives and working towards practice goals. Participate in strategic growth planning and business development, ensuring the clinic operates efficiently and complies with federal and state standards.
  • Client Services & Compliance: Ensure a high standard of client service, managing client relationships, addressing concerns, and ensuring adherence to DEA regulations. Ensure timely and effective client communication.
  • Team Supervision & Development: Oversee the hiring, training, and performance of veterinary associates. Manage schedules, delegate tasks, and lead regular case reviews to improve team performance and client satisfaction.
  • Mentorship & Coaching: Act as a mentor to associate veterinarians, fostering growth, developing functional skills, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Veterinary Duties: Perform diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures. Communicate clearly with clients about diagnoses and treatment plans while maintaining compliant medical records and collaborating with the team to ensure top-tier care.
Ideal Candidate:
  • DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) degree from an accredited veterinary school and licensed to practice in California.
  • Experience supervising and managing a veterinary healthcare team with a proven track record in education and training.
  • DEA License in good standing (if applicable).
  • Excellent time management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • A compassionate, patient-centered approach with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
