Job summary

The International Center for Language Studies (ICLS) is seeking experienced Dutch instructors to teach adult professionals in our Washington, DC schoolhouse. Teaching assignments may be full-time or part-time and cover a range of proficiency levels.

Qualified applicants have at least two years of experience teaching Dutch to adults, native-level proficiency, and a bachelor's degree. Preference is given to those with postgraduate training, ILR familiarity, curriculum development experience, and

• Minimum of two years' experience teaching Dutch to adults in a full-time setting.
• Native-level proficiency in Dutch.
• Possess at minimum a bachelor's degree.
• Legal Authorization to work in the United States.
• Post graduate degree in teaching, second language acquisition, or a similar field.
• Familiarity with the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) scale.
• Curriculum development experience.
• Experience preparing students for DoD and Foreign Service proficiency testing.
• Familiarity with Educational Technology tools.

Responsibilities

• Teach Dutch to adult professionals at the ICLS schoolhouse in Washington, DC.
• Prepare and deliver engaging lessons across a range of proficiency levels.
• Adapt curriculum and materials to meet diverse learner needs.

Language Instructor (In-Person)

ICLS is currently seeking experienced Dutch instructors to teach adult professionals at the ICLS schoolhouse in Washington, DC. Teaching assignments vary and may be full-time, part-time, for private students and/or small groups, and may be at a wide range of proficiency levels.

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years' experience teaching Dutch to adults in a full-time setting
• Native-level proficiency in Dutch
• Possess at minimum a bachelor's degree
