Job summary

Grand Portage Lodge & Casino is seeking a motivated truck driver to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, coal, or paving materials. You will load by hand or with a mechanical loader and ensure safe operation of the dump truck.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED (or 1–3 months related experience) and is willing to undergo a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. American Indian Preference will apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Drives truck equipped with dump body to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, coal or bituminous paving materials.
• Loads truck by hand or by operating mechanical loader.
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water.
