Job summary

Shamblin Stone, Inc., a CRH Company, is looking for a Dump Truck Driver in Dunbar, WV. You will transport materials between facilities, job sites, and customers, and assist in yard operations as needed. A CDL Class B is required, with Class A preferred; DOT CDL school certification is required.

We expect safe driving, reliable attendance, and a cooperative attitude. The role includes operating loaders when required and adhering to OSHA/MSHA safety standards. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver product and materials safely and on time.

Dump Truck Driver

Job Description Summary

Employee essential in the mobilization of materials between facilities, job sites, and customers. Employee is also expected to help in the yard as needed and operate a loader.

Requirements

Deliver product and material goods in a safe and timely manner

Coordinate delivery schedules using most efficient routes

Safety inspection of the vehicle before delivery including tire pressure, basic fluid levels and pneumatic controls

Provide customer service

Follows policies and procedures to ensure the job is done properly

Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

Physical ability to operate equipment and to transport material.

Attitude/Cooperation: Must always maintain a courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers, public

Craftsmanship and ability to follow OSHA/MSHA safety standards

Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes. Overtime work may be required

Ability to transport material with attention to detail and emphasis on safety

Initiative to perform/assist with other positions for job completion

Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in functional condition

Must pass drug test and criminal background check

Education/Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required

Must possess a Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL), Class A preferred.

Prior driving experience or a current Certification from a DOT compliant CDL Driving School is required
