Job summary

Southern West Virginia Paving, Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Dump Truck Driver to transport materials between facilities, job sites, and customers in Beckley, West Virginia. The role requires a Class B CDL and DOT CDL training certification, with safety-first duties and customer service.

You will help in the yard, operate a loader when needed, follow OSHA/MSHA safety standards, and maintain a ready-to-work attitude with flexible scheduling and possible overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Must possess a Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
• Current Certification from a DOT compliant CDL Driving School is required

Responsibilities

• Deliver product and material goods in a safe and timely manner
• Coordinate delivery schedules using most efficient routes
• Safety inspection of the vehicle before delivery including tire pressure, basic fluid levels and pneumatic controls
• Provide customer service
• Follows policies and procedures to ensure the job is done properly
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Physical ability to operate equipment and to transport material.
• Attitude/Cooperation: Must always maintain a courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers, public
• Craftsmanship and ability to follow OSHA/MSHA safety standards
• Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes. Overtime work may be required
• Ability to transport material with attention to detail and emphasis on safety
• Initiative to perform/assist with other positions for job completion
• Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in functional condition
• Must pass drug test and background check
