Job description

Responsibilities

Must have +5 MVR and at least 3 years of Dump Truck Driving experience to be considered.

Allan Myers is looking for an ambitious and dedicated Class B CDL driver to join our elite team of drivers. Enjoy best-in-industry benefits and great pay. Our drivers remain local and return home safely after every shift.

This non-exempt position is dispatched to transport construction materials to customer or various job site locations. Conducts all work in accordance with Allan Myers policies, procedures, and programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Makes daily pre/post trip inspections on assigned vehicle to maintain maximum vehicle safety conditions and to check for any damaged or worn parts or for any signs of tampering.
  • Pickup materials (dirt, stone, or asphalt), haul to jobsite locations and deliver materials. Repeat process as needed in a safe and timely manner as directed.
  • Maintains a truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policy.
  • Communicates regularly with dispatcher to ensure that delivery schedule is being followed and that any problems with traffic or with site conditions are reported promptly.
  • Complies with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness, and repair in accordance with the guidelines specified in the Truck Driver's Handbook.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years’ experience driving a Dump Truck required.
  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License is required.
  • +5 Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) or Clear Driving Record required.
  • Valid DOT Med Card required.
