Job summary

Gray & Son, Inc. is seeking a CDL driver to transport cargo according to DOT regulations. The role involves maintaining logs, inspecting and servicing the vehicle, and assisting with loading and unloading.

You will stay in contact with base and support foremen during morning huddles. Required certifications include a valid DOT card and a CDL (Class A or B depending on truck type). Endorsements such as Hazmat or Tanker may be needed, along with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintains radio or telephone contact with base or supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to new location
• Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations
• Keeps record of materials and products transported
• Cleans, inspects, and services vehicle
• Operates equipment on vehicle to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials
• Assists in loading and unloading truck manually
• Willingly attend and support Foremen/Superintendents during morning huddles and toolbox talks
• Other duties as assigned
