Job summary

Tuffy Truck'n in American Fork, UT is seeking a dependable dump truck driver to haul dirt, gravel, salt, asphalt, and other materials across construction sites in all weather. You will perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain logs, and ensure a clean, well-presented truck while following company policies.

The role requires a valid CDL Class A and a DOT medical certificate, plus a clean driving record. This is a 1099 position with pay based on experience and routing demands.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Transport materials to and from designated sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck.

Job description

Seeking a professional dump truck driver to transport dirt, gravel, salt, asphalt, etc. on various construction sites in all weather conditions. The driver shall perform daily truck inspections, complete log sheets, and maintain a clean truck. Driver conducts all work in accordance with policies, procedures, and programs.

Responsibilities

• Transporting crushed rock, sand, gravel, salt, broken concrete, debris, asphalt, etc. to and from specified locations.
• Verifying the types of materials being transported and ensuring that they do not exceed weight restrictions.
• Ensure materials are loaded correctly onto the dump truck.
• Inspecting the dump truck before and after every trip or as required by management, which includes checking the oil, gas, and water levels as well as the lights and tires.
• Promptly reporting any accidents, injuries, or mechanical faults to management and or the appropriate authority.
• Complies with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness, and repair in accordance with the guidelines specified in the Truck Driver's Handbook.
• Communicates regularly with dispatcher to ensure that delivery schedule is being followed and that any problems with traffic or with site conditions are reported promptly.
• Maintain accurate digital driver logs.
• Complying with all safety rules and regulations.
• Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate – must pass DOT physical.
• Good Driving Record – for insurance eligibility. Proven experience operating a standard dump truck. NO DUI's
• Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Drive manual 13 speed transmission
• Experience driving a dump truck. NOT willing to train.
