Job description

The Duke University Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is seeking a BC / BE Orthopaedic surgeon to join the Division of Adult Reconstruction.

Opportunity:

  • Since 1998, Duke Raleigh Hospital has been an integral part of Duke Health, providing access to advanced technology and medicine. It is recognized for compassionate care and centers of excellence in oncology, orthopaedics, neurosciences, and cardiovascular services.
  • The role involves 90% clinical practice and 10% academic activities, with outpatient clinics available across Wake County. In-patient surgeries are primarily at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh.
  • Support for research is available, with opportunities for university appointments and research in clinical outcomes, especially in hip and knee arthroplasty.
  • Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:

  • Fellowship-trained in Adult Reconstruction (primary/revision hip and knee arthroplasty), with interest in research and teaching.
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Eligible for medical licensure in North Carolina.
