Duke Orthopaedics seeks a fellowship-trained Hand and Upper Extremity orthopaedic surgeon to join our community-based, hybrid-academic practice in Raleigh, NC. Duke Health Raleigh is located in the fastest growing area of North Carolina, offering the opportunity to rapidly build a robust hand practice and be part of a leading orthopaedic academic department.

Duke Orthopaedics provides a wide array of orthopedic services and a high-quality continuum of care for patients of all ages in the greater Raleigh area.

Opportunity:

  • The position will be based at Duke Raleigh Practices in Raleigh, part of Duke University Health System since 1998, just minutes from downtown Raleigh.
  • The role is 90% clinical and 10% academic, with 2-3 OR days per week at an outstanding facility with dedicated teams.
  • Research support is available across Duke University’s broad academic disciplines to align with the new faculty member’s goals and interests.
  • Academic rank will depend on training, experience, research, and clinical productivity, with a faculty appointment at the Duke School of Medicine.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified or eligible orthopaedic surgeon fellowship-trained in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery.
  • A commitment to excellent patient care, teaching, scholarship, research, and leadership at local, national, and international levels.
  • Eligible for medical licensure in North Carolina.
