Duet - Nebraska seeks a Substitute Direct Support Professional to provide direct care and supports to adults with developmental disabilities in varied settings. You will help individuals participate in daily living, community activities, and scheduling flexibility.

As a substitute, you may cover daytime, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts, and you can claim up to 29 hours per week. A valid driver's license, clean record, and ability to work well with teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Be at least 19 years old and have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Possess a valid driver’s license in good standing with a vehicle.
• Willing to complete background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical.
• Able to clearly and effectively communicate with individuals and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize basic computer functions and email.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, including meal prep, basic hygiene, and budgeting.
• Document behaviors and implement behavioral plans with individuals.
• Provide transportation to community events and appointments as needed.
• Collaborate with ISP teams to develop supportive programs and goals.
• Administer daily medications and complete documentation accurately.

In a residential setting, you will walk beside those you serve and get paid to have fun and build lasting relationships.As a Substitute, you are the manager’s last line of defense to provide care for our individuals. Once the manager creates a monthly schedule, any remaining shifts in the schedule will be offered to the pool of substitutes. If a shift interests you, let the manager know and it is yours!
