Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program (required).
• Current, active, and unrestricted SLP license in California (required; pending licensure considered).
• CCC-SLP certification may be required by facility or payer guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language and swallowing evaluations in line with physician orders and California standards of practice.
• Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia disorders.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized care plans with measurable goals.
• Provide skilled therapeutic interventions addressing communication, cognition, swallowing safety, and compensatory strategies.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans based on outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to promote better communication and swallowing outcomes.
• Lead discharge planning and support safe transitions of care.
