Multifamily Property Management

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. Duties include repairing flooring, drywall, appliances; troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, safety, security systems, HVAC; painting; and cleaning. All duties are performed in accordance with company policies and safety protocols, supporting client expectations within the operating budget.

Position includes a studio unit.

Pay: $26 - $28 per hour

Responsibilities

  1. Client Relations: Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the owner to meet client objectives and expectations.
  2. General Maintenance: Follow maintenance programs, ensure grounds and property aesthetics comply with policies, assist with inspections, and serve as on-call emergency maintenance.
  3. Unit Turnover: Inspect and repair vacant apartments, coordinate painting, change appliances, and ensure timely turnovers.
  4. Equipment and Systems: Repair and maintain equipment, secure parts and supplies, and wear required uniforms and tools.
  5. Inspections: Prepare properties for inspections such as NSPIRE, MOR, TCAC, CALFHA, and collaborate with stakeholders.
  6. Other Duties: Enforce community rules, comply with Fair Housing Laws, maintain professional communication, and adhere to dress code.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in residential property management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical schooling or CAMT certification preferred.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and be medically cleared.
  • Proficiency in English; may need to provide own tools.
