Multifamily Property Management

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. Responsibilities include repairing flooring, drywall, appliances; troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, safety, security systems, HVAC; painting; and cleaning. All duties must comply with company policies and safety protocols, supporting client expectations within the operating budget.

Position includes a studio unit and requires driving a site-owned golf cart, necessitating a valid unrestricted U.S. Driver's License.

Pay: $26 - $28 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Relations
  • Align daily operations with owner philosophies and expectations to meet client objectives
General Maintenance Overview
  • Follow maintenance programs for safety and economy
  • Perform preventative maintenance as per manuals
  • Maintain grounds and property aesthetics
  • Assist with inspections and serve as on-call emergency maintenance
Unit Turnover
  • Inspect and repair vacant apartments for move-in readiness
  • Coordinate painting and appliance changes
Maintenance Equipment and Systems
  • Maintain equipment and supplies, ensure safety and orderliness
  • Secure parts and inventory within budget
  • Wear uniform and name badge, provide own small tools
Inspections
  • Prepare properties for NSPIRE, MOR, TCAC, CALFHA, and other inspections
Other Responsibilities
  • Enforce community rules, comply with Fair Housing laws
  • Represent FPI professionally
