- Ensure our gaming guests are kept in play by experiencing a range of fast and friendly service through well maintained machines, providing change, paying out jackpots, and the promotion of guest programs and events such as our New Member Offer, Players Club benefits, drawings, and giveaways, etc.
- Sincerely greet and welcome all guests on the gaming floor.
- Actively patrol assigned sections looking for opportunities to be of service to our guests.
- Offer assistance to guests that are playing and explain features of the machine when necessary, including the ticket in/ticket out technology.
- When walking through the aisle ways, gaming attendants will make sure all vacant, nonfixed gaming chairs are appropriately pushed in to maintain clear aisle ways.
- Celebrate wins by our guests.
- Perform cash handling transactions such as paying jackpots and making change.
- Ensure all jackpot transactions are completed accurately, jackpot slips, and payment procedures are in compliance with departmental SOP’s, are completed within a reasonable amount of time, and with a high degree of personalized service.
- Complete written department forms in a legible manner.
- Determine machine malfunctions and identify appropriate actions.
- Correct machine malfunctions (e.g., printer errors, bill validators, etc.)
- Must keep, maintain the integrity of, and balance cash wallets at the end of shift.
- Maintain secure key controls at all times.
- Maintain a good relationship with the cage employees to help execute gaming transactions.
- Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
- Complies with all Company standard operating procedures and internal controls.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
GAMING ATTENDANT

GAMING OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
- Responsible for supervising gaming attendants on assigned shift within assigned section.
- Maintain proper staffing levels throughout shift and make adjustments as needed.
- Assist in training, counseling, and scheduling gaming attendants.
- Responsible for handling team member and guest complaints and disputes.
- Escalates guest and team member concerns and inquiries as needed.
- Ensure that gaming attendants offer appropriate support and performance in regard to daily gaming floor operational demands. Assist with guest service calls and questions as needed.
- Monitor currency transaction reporting requirements.
- Complete shift reports and necessary paperwork associated with the daily functions of the gaming department.
- Ensure procedures protect the integrity and security of the company, team members, and guests.
- Monitor, direct, supervise, and observe gaming action in the overall gaming facility operations for adherence to company policies and various regulatory requirements.
- Approve and verify historical racing machine payouts and fills and safeguard gaming assets.
- Perform jackpot payouts and fills.
- May act as Managerial Representative on Property.
- May conduct fund exchanges for guests during an emergency situation or as deemed necessary by management.
- Monitor video programming on TV’s and make adjustments as necessary to maintain sports / horse racing coverage. Monitor audio volume and make adjustments as necessary to maintain appropriate levels.
- May issue a complimentary/promotional expense in accordance with the approved comp matrix.
- Leads by setting a positive example to all team members.
- Maintains the highest degree of confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Training, And Experience
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one (1) year gaming attendant or gaming technician experience preferred, or one (1) year of gaming experience as a Gaming Operations Supervisor preferred.
- Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
- Demonstrated successful performance in a guest service role in a public environment.
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
- Maintain a professional working relationship among all personnel.
- Knowledge of state gaming laws and regulations.
- Oral and written communication skills.
