Facility/Profee Dual Outpatient Coder - Dental

Part Time | Remote

Are you an Outpatient Coder with experience coding Profee and Facility Dental charges? Do you love to code? This role may be the opportunity you’ve been looking for! We’re actively seeking talented Outpatient Coders with 3-5+ years of experience in Dental coding for both Pro Fee and Facility coding. Valid certifications required: CCS or CPC.

This position is important at CodingAID. The Outpatient - Dental coder is responsible for coding activities and charge submissions of CPT and Facility Dental coding and billing. Responsibilities include analyzing medical records, assigning ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes, and ensuring coding accuracy and compliance.

Other duties include data entry into client software or Excel reports, communicating with clients and providers, providing feedback on coding results, and adhering to legal and regulatory standards. Communication with the Project Manager regarding schedule, work volume, and coding questions is also required.

Job Requirements:

• Must be a certified coder with certifications through AHIMA and/or AAPC. CPC or CCS required.
• 3-5+ years’ experience coding for Facility and Profee Dental services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Epic, and 3M.
• Advanced knowledge in dental-specific surgical and medical specialties.
• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience researching and applying coding rules and regulations.
• Experience with data entry into databases and software tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Positive and respectful attitude.
