Job summary

Mercy Health – Youngstown in Ohio seeks a multi-modality radiology technologist capable of performing two imaging modalities such as XR, CT, or MRI. The role requires ensuring patient history, lab work, and documentation are complete for interpretation by licensed practitioners.

Responsibilities include operating equipment, following approved protocols, and applying safety measures to protect patients and staff. On-call shifts may be required, with emphasis on teamwork and quality imaging.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute or approved Nuclear Medicine/Ultrasound program (preferred)
• 1 year of healthcare experience (preferred)
• Training in EPIC EHR, PACS, RIS (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Performs duties for any 2 imaging modalities.
• Operates imaging equipment and is knowledgeable in workflows for 2 modalities.
• Obtains patient history and lab work ensuring information is available for licensed practitioners.
• Uses safety principles to minimize risk to patient and staff.
• Verifies patient identification before procedures.
• May perform venipuncture and administer contrast as prescribed.
• On-call as required.
